My name is Ian Sohn. I have more than a decade of global strategic marketing, new media, strategic alliances, business development and public relations experience with some of the world's most valued brands like Nokia, Sony Music, Mattel, Universal Pictures and more.
I'm currently a senior vice president of consumer marketing and a strategist with the 360° Digital Influence Group at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.
I'm now based in Chicago [my hometown] after spending the previous 10 years in New York. I have a 2 year old son, Henry, and wife, Sophie. That's our 2008 holiday card:
I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from New York University.
In addition to Flagged For Follow Up, I contribute to the Ogilvy PR 360° Digital Influence blog and the Ogilvy PR Travel & Tourism blog.
Finally [and sadly] I remain a committed Bears and Cubs fan - and will be raising my son to do the same.

Thanks John [I've been following your writing for a while ... pleasure to hear from you].
Besides the Stones ... everything from The Chili Peppers to The Beatles to Avril. Fairly big range. I am most def not a music snob.

Great discussion today on social media at Chicago PRSA, Ian. And I hope your son is being prepared for many years of sorrow as a Cubs fan.
